More Four! Fans of the Divergent series by #1 New York Times bestselling author Veronica Roth will be thrilled by "The Transfer," the first of four new short stories told from Four’s perspective. Each brief story explores the world of the Divergent series through the eyes of the mysterious but charismatic Tobias Eaton, revealing previously unknown facets of his personality, backstory, and relationships.
My Thoughts
Woo hoo! These 34 pages are well worth it! The Transfer lets us see a little more of Tobias's life before Dauntless and how utterly horrible Marcus was as a father. He is not winning any father of the year awards by any means!I love little novellas like this because I feel like I really get an opportunity to know a character better, especially when its one I am so interested in. In Divergent and Insurgent Tobias has always been the private , keep it to himself kind of guy, but now we are able to see a little of his past and get to know him so much more.
The Transfer does not disappoint! It shows us what Tobias saw in his test, what was going through his mind during his choosing ceremony , and how he made it through his first day as Dauntless.
After finishing The Transfer I scurried quickly to amazon to see if there were any more short stories.. sadly the only bad news is that I still have to wait until October 22nd to get my greedy paws on Allegiant , book three in the Divergent series !
Great review! I really think I have to read this now, so I can get to know Four better :)
ReplyDeleteI don't read novellas really...even when they are a part of the beloved series that I love. I will have to check this one out....who doesn't want more Four?!
ReplyDeletei think you really get to know four alot more here then in the novella "Free Four" I loved it ! - Katie
DeleteNovella's can be a great and fun way to see more of characters. I'm interested to see how horrible Marcus is. I was expecting that, but to see it would be great.
