We are two best friends who enjoy a good book, but even better we enjoy talking to each other about our great finds. Reading a book is one thing, but you learn so much more when you get to chat about it with your best friend. Since we share our thoughts on books with each other anyways, we decided why not start a blog so we can share our good reads with everyone. When we review a book here @ Inkk that we both have read, (which is most of them) we will give you both of our opinions.
Hey, I'm Katie
I haven't been "hardcore" reading nearly as long as Krisha, I have probably been consistently reading for pleasure for about 5 years. I guess I never figured out what genre of books I enjoyed till now. What books do I like you ask? I love anything and everything young adult! Bring on the vampires, werewolves, spaceships, time travelers, other - worldly, dystopian societies, what have you... throw in some love triangles and I am sold! I do however have some adult moments... but not nearly as many. I attribute my love for young adult books to being in the school system so much. I taught in the school system for 4 years and now I teach art classes at Spirited Art Chattanooga. Wherever I go I am always asking around for good book recommendations, especially when I was teaching in the high schools. I guess I will always be a "young adult" at heart!
Hey, I'm Krisha
If Katie is the heart, then I am the head. When it comes to books (or even life in general) I’m usually a pretty big skeptic and try to figure out the ending by the first chapter. I am a speed reader and it takes areallygood book for me to just sit back and relax. Since Katie is my main book supplier, I read almost everything she does. I do branch out to some other genres that she doesn’t read, but still keep in the realm of fiction. I do have to read peer reviewed journal articles for school but they are not nearly as fun as the books we review on here.I have been reading constantly since I was very young. I think that every book I’ve owned, I’ve read at least twice, if not more. I’m always ready for suggestions for a good read!
