Goodreads Summary

Two years ago, 21-year-old Kate Edwards became deathly ill and slipped into a coma. While unconscious, she crept into the mind of a missing boy and awoke with the knowledge of his location. Friends and family were skeptical and wary of her new ability to see into the minds of others. Their fears prompted Kate to keep her psychic powers a secret. Feeling alienated, she dropped out of college and spent most of her days holed up at her mother's home.
Now another child has been abducted. Police detective Jared Corbett seeks out Kate for her help in solving the case. Reluctantly, Kate agrees and they must work together to bring 8-year-old Cori Preston home to her family. Although attracted to one another, Jared has a  girlfriend with ties to the abduction case and Kate is sarcastic and guarded since her coma. With visions she can't control and an uncontrollable attraction to the detective, she wonders if she can leave the past behind and finally stop hiding from the world. Otherwise, Cori may be lost forever.

My Thoughts

What an amazing plot! A couple of years ago when Katie was in a coma she saw visions of where a missing child was being kept. When she woke from her coma and told the police were they could find the missing boy, you would think she would have been the town hero... WRONG. Since helping out with the kidnapping case a couple of years ago Katie has been a shut in. She doesn't leave her house, she takes online classes and has developed a mild case of agoraphobia. She swears to her family that her "visions" were a one time thing, but she is only lying to herself. Out of nowhere a super hot detective who won't take no for an answer confronts Kate about helping him on a new kidnapping case, to find a missing little girl.

I LOVED First Visions ! It was a surprisingly fast read, could not put it down. I loved that Kate has visions all the time and that she couldn't  control when or of whom they will be about. Lets be honest,  it makes more sense if your going be a psychic or have a super natural powers, that you wouldn't be able to control it all the time. I enjoyed that the story changed points of view from character to character. I liked getting Jarreds insights as well as Kate and her mother. First Visions was an amazingly quick read for me. At times it felt like I was watching a movie, an amazing thriller! I don't think that this cover really does the story justice, however I have seen the covers for the other two books in the series and they look amazing.

First Vision was a hands down addicting read, Perfect for fans of realistic Paranormal Thrillers. I can't wait to read New Revelations (Book #2 ) and Dark Premonitions (Book #3)
First Visions is INKK-TASTIC ! 5/5 Stars

New Revelations

Second Sight Book Two

Life should’ve been perfect. Kate Edwards had won the heart of police detective Jared Corbett and was coming to terms with her psychic ability. Things were blissful—until the day she met Declan Brayden. Declan also has psychic visions and wants to work alongside Kate. Kate doesn’t trust the damaged and arrogant seer, but she knows combining their abilities would allow her to help more people. This becomes vital when visions of a missing fitness instructor turn into a race against time to save the girl’s life. Mature YA/New Adult Paranormal Romance

Dark Premonitions

Second Sight Book Three

Psychic Kate Edwards had her first premonition—a vision of her own murder by a faceless attacker. With very few clues to go on, she has to use her psychic gifts to uncover who wants her dead. Paranoia sets in and Kate wonders if there’s anybody she can trust.

As Kate fears her impending death, she’s desperate to seek comfort with her ex-boyfriend Jared Corbett. As she tries to win him over once again, she worries that he’ll never forgive her for the mistakes she has made in the past. Kate questions whether fate will give her a chance to be with Jared again before her existence is ended.
Meanwhile, a sixteen-year-old girl has gone missing. The police and her family insist the girl is a troubled runaway, but Kate suspects there’s more to the story. Kate is frantic to locate the girl before her own time runs out.

  3. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Katie! I feel so sad for Kate. I mean, she sounds like she is a real loner with no support. I really hope someone tries to help her. As for the covers, New Revelations is my favorite. I am a bit unsettled about them all looking so different though. They should have a unifying look as a series.

  4. yeah, but i guess its realistic, I guess not everyone one, especially people in a small town would think psychic abilities would be cool.. I do thought. I wish all the cover were the same as well. i love the covers for book 2 and 3, LOVE IT, i hope that First Visions gets a makeover so it could match the other two. maybe her sitting or laying in a field , i don't know. Believe me this book is great ! Fast paced awesomeness , i just wish the cover matched the story! Thanks Christine for checking it out! - Katie
