Inspired Fridays is a weekley meme hosted by us @ Inkk

We love crafting and Pinterest just as much as we love books, so why not combine the two! Take part in our weekly meme and link back to us !

You don't have to actually craft anything to "be inspired". Show us something you maybe have done, want to try, or even a cool looking book nook or library, Whatever inspires you! Happy Weekend!

How to Reupholster a chair

Happy Friday Guys !

I was reupholstering one of my chairs yesterday and thought it would be a great idea to share with you here on Inspired Fridays, before you check out the makeover shown above you need to know some backstory on the chair first.

This chair is so old , it was my Grandmothers originally and so dated when I first came into possession of it. The print on the cushion was that asian inspired print that you see in #3. and the chair itself was see through black plastic.  The first time I gave this chair a "make over" I changed the fabric but more importantly I spray painted the chair with a hammered metal spray paint.. looks 1000% better than originally.

#1
That brings us to today... the current seat fabric was starting to look stained. Reupholstering can be so easy ( depends on the chair ) that you can change out the fabric any time.

#2
The cushion unscrews from the chair underneath

#3
I pulled off the old fabric, and you can see the original fabric underneath.
All you need aside from the screw driver to unscrew the cushion is a Staple Gun and some new fabric.
Stretch the new fabric around the cushion and staple it down ( you won't see the staples once you screw the cushion back in )

#4
Screw the cushion back in and VIOILA you pretty much have a brand new chair !!!

Anyways, it's great to find crafty ideas, but I get SOOOOO excited when I get to share something I ACTUALLY do. Can't wait to see what you guys have up your sleeves this week!
