Inspired Fridays: Book Wall

Inspired Fridays is a weekley meme hosted by us @ Inkk

We love crafting and Pinterest just as much as we love books, so why not combine the two! Take part in our weekly meme and link back to us !

You don't have to actually craft anything "be inspired". Show us something you maybe have done, want to try, or even a cool looking book nook or library, Whatever inspires you! Happy Weekend!

Book Wall

Woo hoo  its friday!

<--check out this cool book wall! can you imagine using books instead of bricks to make a wall ! I found this picture on pinterest, but apparently this is real and is found in the Literati Cafe in CA. I checked it out , it's legit but its not a humongous wall .. more like the size of a window that was covered up.

still its very cool looking.

If you guys love bookish crafts like me, but hate using up perfectly good books, check out your used bookstore. I went to Makay's (which is a HUGE used bookstore / warehouse in TN) and they had hundreds of FREE books outside that i guess they wouldn't take. Granted most of them were encyclopedias and odd books but.. if you ever need book pages for a crafty project.. it's a great place to get some free ones.

Hope you guys are having a great weekend! TGIF

  1. OMG, that is awesome!!!
It'd look wonderful as a full wall in a "book Cafe'", where people could sit comfortably in armchairs, drink coffee and talk about their favourite books! Ok, my mind is drifting away...
    Great inspiration, Katie! Happy Friday!

  3. It's really beautiful and Franny has a good point, it'd look wonderful in a "book Cafe'". But honestly? I'm with Goldie, I can't imagine doing that to books, new or used. Still, the wall looks pretty gorgeous :)

  5. Imagine having one of your flat walls like that one! Specially the one right behind your favourite reading spot. It would be amazing! Thanks for sharing this idea, Katie. :)
