Raven (Delirium 2.5) by Lauren Oliver

E-Book : 50 Pages

This captivating 50-page digital-original story set in the world of Lauren Oliver’s New York Times bestselling Delirium series focuses on Raven, the fiery leader of a rebel group in the Wilds.

As a teenager, Raven made the split-second decision to flee across the border to the Wilds, compelled to save an abandoned newborn—a baby girl left for dead and already blue from the cold. When she and the baby are taken in by a band of rebels, Raven finds herself an outsider within a tight-knit group. The only other newcomer is an untrustworthy boy known as the Thief until he finally earns himself a new name: Tack. Now she and Tack are inseparable, committed to each other, the fledgling rebellion, and a future together. But as they both take center stage in the fight, Raven must decide whether the dangers of the revolution are worth risking her dreams of a peaceful life with Tack.
As her story hurtles back and forth between past and present, Raven transforms from a scared girl newly arrived in the Wilds to the tough leader who helps Lena save former Deliria-Free poster boy Julian Fineman from a death sentence. Whatever the original mission may have been, Raven abides by a conviction that she believes to her core: You always return for the people you love. By turns surprising, revelatory, and poignant, Raven’s story enriches the Delirium world and resonates with a voice that is as vulnerable as it is strong.

My Thoughts

I am loving these Delirium Novellas! They are short, sweet and jammed packed with information that you wouldn't have learned from just reading Delirium, Pandemonium or Requiem.

Here is my attempt to talk about Raven with out giving away any spoilers

Raven flashes back and forth between her earlier times in the Wilds when she first met Blue and Tack, and her current situation at the end of Pandemonium.  Raven as well as the other two Delirium Novellas ( Hana & Annabel ) I feel are extremely crucial and a must read BEFORE you read Requiem.
The Raven we know now is such a strong willed , nothing breaks her female, but she wasn't always that way. I was so glad I got a chance to see her relationship between her and Tack, it's not something that is talked much about in Pandemonium. There is also some SHOCKINGLY HUUUGGGE NEWS that I can't tell you about , that you will only find out by reading the Novella!

I Haven't read Requiem yet, I am reading that next, but I have seen people on twitter say that they read Requiem first and then went back and read the Novella and they had nooo idea about this shocking news!

So all in all, Raven is short ( only 50 ebook pages ) and jam packed with information about Ravens past, her current relations ship with Tack, and a BIG GAME CHANGER!  I would suggest reading these novellas before you read Requiem.

  1. Thanks for the tip about reading order -- I recently got the print book that includes all 3 novellas when I bought Requiem and have been putting off reading both! I think I just don't want the series to actually end, but sneaking the novella in beforehand just might prolong the story a little bit!

  2. Wonder if reading this before reading Requiem might have made me like it a bit more? I haven't read any of the novellas for this series yet, but I've been considering them... mostly because they seem to be about characters I like a lot more than Lena! :)
