Top Ten Authors on our Auto-Buy List

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by

This Week's Topic is:

Top Ten Authors on our Auto-Buy List

#1 & #2 Rick Riordan

Percy Jackson and the Olympians

Katie: I am a HUGE fan of the Olympian Series, The Heros of Olympus Series, and I haven't read the Kane Chronicles yet but I would love to discover some Egyptian Mythology. Riordan makes me fall in love with Middle Grades and takes me on great adventures. I am 100% positive I would buy and read any book Riordan comes out with no mater what!

Krisha: Talk about not being able to put a book down!  This happened for seven books in a row.  This earned him a number one spot for me.  I still have a bunch more to read by him and look forward to it.

#3 & #4 J.L. Bryan

The Paranormal Series

Katie: I have only read Bryan's Paranormal Series but I am so in love with it! The Paranormal Series just gets better and better throughout the series! I can't wait for Bryan to write more awesomeness! Whatever he write next will be an auto-buy for sure!

Krisha: J.L. Bryan makes the cut because he is super cool and an amazing writer.  Besides The Paranormal Series, he also writes the Songs of Magic series.  He's also the first author I've met and I feel like he truly appreciates his fans.  How do I sign up for auto-buy???

# 5 Veronica Roth

Divergent Series

Katie: Not only is she an amazing young author, but her debut novel Divergent and the Divergent Series is spreading like a wild fire! Book three is coming out soon, but the movie is in the works! I am addicted to this series and I'm pretty sure whatever Roth writes, I WILL READ!

# 6 Scott Westerfeld

The Uglies Trilogy

Krisha: His world in the Uglies Trilogy is an amazing place and he totally made me feel like I was there.  I've seen some of his graphic art novellas but I don't think the drawings do the story any justice.  He has some other books out that I just found out about and am adding them to my TBR list.

# 7 Stephenie Meyer

Twilight Series / The Host

Katie: Some may bash the whole Twilight series, but again, I give it credit for the books that got me reading in the first place. Not only did I devour the Twilight series, but I loved the Host! Can't wait for the upcoming movie, it looks amazing. I know that the movies have over killed these series for some, but not for me. If Stephenie Meyer has written it, I will buy it ASAP!

 # 8 Adriana Trigiani

Big Stone Gap

Krisha: This lady ROCKS!  I have read at least 85% of the books she has wrote and can't wait to get my hands on her cookbook.  Considered to be one of the reigning queens of women's fiction, she recently published her first YA book titled Viola in Reel Life.

# 9 Jennifer L. Armentrout

Covenant & Lux Series

Katie: As a fellow West Virginian , I am a big fan of Armentrouts' novels. I own and have read her convenant series, so good! and I hear awesome stuff about her Lux series. Can't wait to read them!

 # 10 Suzanne Collins

Hunger Games Trilogy

Krisha: What can I say about Collins that you don't already know?  I don't think I know anyone that hasn't enjoyed the Hunger Games trilogy.  So I probably won't be the first (or last) person who puts her on this weeks TTT.  Her writing style is so smooth and I thoroughly enjoyed her way of storytelling.  Without a doubt on my auto-buy list!

Thanks for stopping by our TTT!

  1. Sorry to pay devil's advocate, but I definitely found some massive flaws in the Hunger Games trilogy! But then again, I do see the appeal for some people- jam packed with action.

  10. Great list!! I also had Jennifer L. Armentrout on my list. Even though I really love the Twilight series I didn't put Stephenie Meyer on my list, basicly because it seems like she isn't going to publish more books.
